Nestlings is childcare management software for Canadian daycares, day homes and family day-home agencies. Providers record the day — daily sheets, photos, attendance, menus, lesson plans — and families follow along live in a free parent app, while billing runs itself in the background.
Why we built it
Canadian childcare providers were choosing between paper binders and American software that treats Canada as an afterthought — USD-first billing, no GST/HST, and privacy policies written for someone else's laws. Meanwhile, educators were spending the last hour of every day on paperwork instead of with children, and parents were getting their only update as a crumpled sheet at pickup.
Nestlings closes that gap: one app where recording a moment and sharing it with a family is the same action, where the business side runs in Canadian dollars, and where a two-child day home and a hundred-child center both get software that fits.

Nestlings handles information about children, so privacy isn’t a settings page — it’s the architecture. PIPEDA-aligned practices, database-level access rules, private photos with expiring links, and no advertising use of data, ever.

Childcare software doesn’t have to look like tax software. Nestlings is warm and playful on purpose — it’s used at the art table and the pickup line, not just the office.
Who it is for
Nestlings supports the programs that make up Canadian childcare: licensed family day homes, daycare centers, preschool programs and family day-home agencies. A provider can start with the basics — attendance, daily sheets and parent messaging — then add billing, menus, lesson plans and agency oversight as the program grows.
The product is built around the relationship between educators and families. Staff need tools that are fast enough to use in the room. Parents need updates they can trust without calling or texting during the day. Owners need records, billing and privacy controls that hold up when the program gets busy.
