The parts of running a day home that fill your evenings
Parents keep asking how the day went.
Record meals, naps, diapers, activities and photos from your phone. Each family you invite sees their own child’s updates in the free parent app, and you can message them there.
Attendance lives on paper.
Check each child in and out from the app. The monthly attendance report totals days and hours in care, and you can print it or save it as a PDF.
Enquiries arrive in texts and messages.
Share your own registration page. Families send their details and you follow them on a waitlist. When you offer a place, send a private link to the enrollment forms, review the answers and enrol the child.
Invoices and receipts take an evening.
Create invoices in Canadian dollars with GST or HST applied, print them or email them to parents who have joined the app, and record e-transfer, cash or cheque payments. At year end, produce each child’s tax receipt. Families pay you directly.
Closures and holidays mean a round of messages.
Add a closure that covers several days once. Families get one notification (and one email if they have turned that on) and see it as a range on their calendar.

Do families pay?
No. The parent app is free. Families pay you directly for care; Nestlings takes no part of tuition.
Do I need a website?
No. Nestlings gives you a registration page with your name and colour that you can share as a link.
Can I try it first?
Yes. There is a 30-day free trial and no credit card. Apply below and a person will review it.
Where is the data?
Program data is hosted in Canada. The security page lists where it lives and which providers handle what. See the security page.
Is my day home part of an agency?
Then your agency’s plan covers you and you do not pay Nestlings yourself. Ask your agency to invite you.
Tell us about your day home
