The parts of running a centre that pull you off the floor
Attendance and ratios are tracked in different places.
Set up rooms, assign educators to a room and set each room’s children-per-educator ratio. The attendance screen warns you when a room goes over it. A front-desk kiosk lets families sign a child in and out with their own PIN.
Families want to see the day, room by room.
Educators record meals, naps, activities and photos from a phone, and each family sees their own child in the free parent app. Messages and announcements go through the same app.
The waitlist is a spreadsheet and a pile of emails.
Share your registration page. Families land on an ordered waitlist with a status for each. When a place opens, send a private link to the enrollment forms, review the answers and enrol the child.
Invoicing takes days at month end.
Create invoices in Canadian dollars with GST or HST applied, print or email them, and record payments. Optional invoice helpers cover prorated starts and a sibling discount. At year end, produce each child’s tax receipt. Families pay you directly.
Reporting for funding means collecting numbers by hand.
The monthly summary shows enrolled, attended and absent days, hours in care and fees charged and collected for each child, with an optional fee cap flag you set for your province. It reports facts; it does not decide compliance for you.
Staff, rooms and permissions grow with you.
Owners and admins manage the program and billing, and educators record the day. Both plans include unlimited staff and rooms.

No. The parent app is free. Families pay you directly; Nestlings takes no part of tuition.
Is there a limit on staff or rooms?
No. Both plans include unlimited staff and rooms. The plan limit is the number of enrolled children.
